The ego boosting and name dropping is particularly annoying, of course, but any attempt of “objective” evaluation misses the point. Quality (if such a thing even exists) doesn’t really matter. The point of art and entertainment is the impact on the listener/reader/viewer, which is a subjective phenomenon in any case.

I don’t think it’s really possible to share this with others, but at least one can trigger someone’s curiousity. I rather enjoy your “reviews”, even of the movies you didn’t watch. :)
