BST - Tagline replacer by Bjørn Stærk ver. 1.05
BST is an utility designed to replace your offliners tag with your own.
To configure BST, do the following:
1 - Edit "tag.bat", and replace the default path to find your .rep files in with
your own.
2 - Edit "bst.cfg", where the second line should contain the default tagline
to use, and the fourth the file to use for random tags.
Line six contains the tag to search for and replace. The default is
'---π' as this is what most qwk-readers use before they put
their own tag in, and everything coming after this is deleted and
replaced with your own tag. If you should have an offliner which
doesn't use '---π' before their own tag, you should replace it with
with whatever is used instead. Remember that the 'π' (alt-227)
is used instead of linefeed, so '---π' actually means '---' + enter.
The last line in bst.cfg is where you choose wether to let
BST choose random taglines for you, or to do it yourself.
(Random = 0, choose = 1). If you decide to choose your own
tags, pressing the left or right key will take you to the
next/last tag in the choose random tags file.
Commands: 'v' - View current message.
'r' - Random tag.
't' - Type in your own tag.
ESC - No tag _at all_ in this message.
3 - Create your own default tagline.
The tag-file you specified in line 2 in "bst.cfg" can be as long
as 1000 characters, which should be enough for most people...
An ASCII table is included to help you create good looking tags.
To use random tags, you must put the character '' (alt-27)
wherever you want a character of the random tag to be.
Every occurance of '' in your default tag is replaced with one
character of your random tag.
4 - Type 'tag' + the name of the rep-file WITHOUT the '.rep' extension to
start BST. (example: 'tag mybbs' to tag messages in mybbs.rep)
BST will always take a backup of your .rep file, just in case.
If anything goes wrong, you can always find the backup in the
current directory.
BST is public domain. Please distribute it to wherever you want, as long
as you don't take any payment more than distribution costs, and don't
change the code. If you really like this program, and want to
support me with either money, ideas, money, bug-reports, money,
or something else (like money...), call Rolvsøy BBS (69338991) and
leave me a message, a bomb, or your credit card number.
If you have access to Internet, e-mail me at "staerk@rol.bbs.no".
I will not be responsible for any damage done to your software,
hardware, files, brain, hair, messages or anything I can't think
of right now, caused by this program. However, I will be responsible
for good-looking tags, fast tag replacing and other goodies.
BST is written in Borland C++ 3.0.
