Epic Cancels OMF/Tyrian BBS Support
===================================

EPIC MEGAGAMES AND DIVERSIONS ENTERTAINMENT CANCEL BBS SUPPORT FOR ONE MUST
FALL: INCREDIBLE NEW 3D SEQUEL ALREADY WELL INTO DEVELOPMENT
Despite the demand from sysops and users, Epic MegaGames and Diversions
Entertainment have decided not to release the BBS host program for the network
and modem release of One Must Fall 2097. With other projects taking precedence
and the arrival of Windows 95 as a viable gaming platform, the window of
opportunity for this product would have closed before it was ready for release
and would have resulted in a delay in the delivery for the yet unnamed sequel,
which will feature play over the Internet.
                                                                       42
OMF II (working title only) is now well along in its development as a native
Windows 95 game. Divisions will be taking the gameplay they so greatly honed
with One Must Fall 2097, porting it to Windows '95 and adding spectacular
SGI/Alias rendered 3D graphics created by a former professional comic artist
who also worked extensively on modeling 3D graphics for one of the world's top
movie studios. The graphics for the sequel to OMF are expected to be on par or
better than the hottest arcade fighting games currently available.
When combined with the already acclaimed gameplay and control of One Must Fall,
Epic expects the sequel to receive an even better response then the first game,
which Computer Game Review called "the best fighting game available for the PC,
bar none." Expect the sequel to be released sometime in 1996, although no
projected release date has been set.
                                                                       53
